1st FTK Evangelism Conference: Successful!
May 8, 2012 – 3:08 pmBlessings Everyone! It seems that every week the Lord is opening doors for us to share the gospel in the US or in Mexico. This last week we had the first FTK Evangelism Conference and boy was it successful. Not only did we train believers but also went to the beach to take those who had been trained in sharing the gospel. The most important result for us is that God’s name be glorified by the proclamation of the gospel! At FTK we say that if no one comes to Jesus but we proclaimed the gosple faithfully, that alone is a win for the Kingdom of God.
Here are the results
15 Believers equipped to share the gospel
97 times we presented the gospel
31 new decisions of faith:
23 Adults
9 Children
11 Adult recommitments
1 child recommitt
The rest rejected the gift of eternal life but the seed was sown in their hearts therefore our hopes are high that they will come to the knowledge of the Savior. One of those rejections came from a budhist. Your prayers are appreciated. Rejoice with us as well!!!
Cool Story:
The last picture is with three ladies. One of them is already a strong believer who fellowships with the Eben Ezer Church that meets at New Song on sunday afternoons. The other two was a mother and daughter. The daughter already knew the Lord but the mother was visiting from Mexico. When we started, we only had the two believers. The mom was not involved because we were speaking English only. When the daughter knew that we were Christians sharing the gospel, she asked me if I was willing to share the gospel with her mom in Spanish. What do you think I said? I speak a little bit of Spanish therefore proceeded to explain the gospel to her and 10 minutes later she was giving her heart to Jesus. I found later that Jehova’s Witnesss have been coming to her house in Mexico but she has not been welcoming them lately. I also learned that She never lets Christians come even close to her to share the gospel. Don’t ask me why but when I was sharing the gospel with her she seemed the most open person to hear the gospel from a Christian. I tell you, there are sometimes when people are just ready to receive the Lord. It’s as though after so many seeds being sown throughout the life of that person, God just has them ready for us to bring them into the kingdom. she said she didn’t have a Bible but a yellow book the JW’s had given her. I asked her if she was willing for me to send her a Bible all the way to Mexico. she said YES. I asked her also if she was willing to go to church when she got back to Mexico, she said yes too. Please pray for the seed sown in her heart!
Thank you so much for helping us make this happen through your prayers and financial suport!
Tomorrow, we are starting another training at New Song Community Church, please pray for God to bring workers to be trained for the harvest that is plentiful!
