The story of 3 cars, actually 4. God is so good!

December 13, 2012 – 11:35 am

I have a great story to tell about the provision of our God! Before I do though, let me give you an update for our current fundraising campaign to finish 2012 financially strong.

In our goal to meet our projected budget for 2012 the Lord has blessed us with God’s people responding to it with generosity! God’s people are always generous! We only have about $18k to go! At the same time we only have 18 days to end the year which means that we will need about $1k per day! Piece of cake for our Ever Providing I AM!

Back to the 4 car story (you will really like it!)

First Car

About 3 years ago I asked one of the pastors in Ensenada, Baja California Mexico if there was anything he needed that I could pray for. He asked me to pray for a car. I went ahead and prayed with him on the phone never thinking that when I finished I would clearly hear the Lord said to me to give him my car. It was a step of faith because it was my second car and the one I drove everywhere to meet with people. I knew however that God had spoken and when He speaks, I better listen and do it! The pastor was really excited and gave all the glory to the Lord.

Second Car

A few weeks after I gave the car and had driven Marcia nuts by taking her minivan, someone at church found out that I didn’t have a car and gave me his car. His car needed some work but nothing major and fitted perfectly for the kind of moving around that I do. It was although I hadn’t given up my car. God knows exactly what we need and when we need it!

Second Car goes to Mexico

About a couple of months ago, the Lord called one of the believers we had trained in Ensenada, Jorge Peralta to become an evangelist with FTK. He had been sharing the gospel in Ensenada and taking youth with him to the streets but riding the bus sometimes or walking long distances to get to their destinations. The Lord put in my heart to give him the car I had received a couple of years earlier. This time however it was easy to make that decision because I had a pickup truck but with the gas prices, I prayed to the Lord that I will get another little car instead of driving the big truck all over the place. You know what’s coming right?

Third Car

Two weeks ago one of the men who attend the Bible study I lead told me that he had bought a new car and that he was going to look for someone to give it to! Guess who I suggested? ME! As soon I said it though, I heard that little voice again, this time the Lord pointed me to a lady in church that I heard had needed a car. She goes to the beach and streets to share the gospel in Oceanside.  I thought well, if the Lord wants to bless me so that I can bless others, let’s do it with joy. The gentleman who gave me the car told me that it needed some work but then right there God showed me that I had to find a way to fix the car and then give it to her. As I write this, I’m waiting for the mechanic to tell me how much the bill is going to be. Pray that it is not much!

I went ahead and fixed the front brakes myself and also fixed the front lights and although still needs a lot of work, I showed the car to her and she was very excited that she would be getting a car. Isn’t God good?  But wait, I still have one more car to tell you about.

Fourth Car is on the way

3 days after I decided to give the car to the lady, a gentleman called me from the Phoenix, AZ asking if I was willing to receive a pickup truck he wanted to give away instead of selling. Guess what I said? YES Baby!!! It is a little older (20 years old) but I was assured that it was in great condition! God is so good brothers and sisters and I’m so fired up about His provision to those who step out in faith to bless others!

A lot of us when God ask us to do something or to give something, we first look to see if we have enough but if the Bible is God’s word and God is who God’s word say He is, then we can trust that still small voice. I must tell you however that it is not always a voice, sometimes it’s just a matter of obedience to what God’s word has already told us to do like forgiving, sharing the gospel or loving each other.

I pray that this story will encourage you to obey the Lord whether it something He said in his Word or something that He may have whisper to your heart.

I hope that when you read this story, you give praise to the Lord, He is the one that orchestrates everything to work together for His Glory!

Training believers to share the gospel in a new location in Mexico. Sonora here we go!

October 4, 2012 – 12:25 pm

Blessings everyone! Please pray for us as this weekend October 5-7 we are going to be training a new church plant in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora in Mexico. The Church we are going to be training is only 2 years old with less than 30 people meeting now.

I simply love it when FTK get sto help churches like this. The church planter gets to see the power of God’s word in the streets, The people get excited seeing evangelist in their communities but most important, the community gets to hear the gospel of the Lord Jesus!

Kurt Hollar (trying to memorize the presentation in Spanish) and I (Doing the training in Spanish) will be traveling there tomorrow to train in the evening. Train some more Saturday morning, hopefully evangelize on Saturday evening so that people learn by seeing us in action and then preach on sunday morning. If everything goes according to plan we should have a team on October 19-21 sharing the gospel. Please, please pray for us!

Another exciting thing going on is that John Sing, FTK evangelist will be sharing the gospel using the colors at the High School Football Game this friday evening October 5th. Please keep him in your prayers as the gospel goes out from him.

Jorge Peralta, our Evangelist in Ensenada, Baja California has been busy taking people to the streets as well and have led 69 people to Christ in the last two months!

Also, thank you so much for supporting with your prayers and finances for our evangelism resources. We have received the shipment of 4,000 socer balls! Praise the Lord for that!

We are in the plans to start raising support for Bibles, Bracelets, Bands and all that stuff for 2013! Will God provide? you bet He will, He always does!

Is God good or what? To Him be all the glory!

Sharing the gospel in Mexico

September 10, 2012 – 12:20 pm

Blessings everyone! Thank you so much for your praying for our as we share the gospel in the streets, beaches and parks of the US and Mexico.

This last weekend we had the opportunity to go and share the gospel in Mexico.

As always, the Lord was all over us empowering to share His word with boldness. Here are the results of our outreach for you to rejoice with us and also continue to pray for the seed that was sown in the hearts of those who heard the gospel through our lips:

1st time decision of faith 76

1st time kids 6

Recomitted 9

Kid recomitt 1

The rest were Christians already or decided not to put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for those as well.

There are always good stories from all the teams that we have and many of my own team but the one I like to share the one I like the most:

On Saturday evening as we were ready to close the day, we saw a young man seating down in a house by himself. I greeted him and asked him if it was ok for us to share the gospel using a soccer ball. When he said yes, I asked one of the evangelist we trained in Ensenada to do it so that I could take a break. The name of the evangelist was Rafael (see picture attached). As Rafael started to share the gospel, another group of men joined the house. The total of men listening to Rafael was about 7 now. I felt for Rafael because he is only 17 years old but was talking about the Lord Jesus to other men older than himself. I’m sure he was intimidated but at the same time the Lord was all over him as he clearly preached the Lord Jesus Christ! At the end, about 4 of the men prayed aloud to received the Lord Jesus Christ. The other three said they did it in silence. Only God knows, what we do know is that the gospel was preached and the opportunity to respond was offered; the rest is up to God. I heard someone said that God has not called us to successful evangelism but to faithfully share the gospel! Way to go Rafael.

The reason I shared that story is because although FTK goes to the streets to share the gospel and lead people to Christ, our vision is to raise evangelism leaders! watching Rafael was one of those moments when I realized God was bringing this vision to pass. Rafael is not the only one sharing the gospel in Ensenada, Jorge is also doing it along with Edgar, Paulina, Fernanda, Tanairy, Nichole and others. God is soooo Good! They told me that two weeks before we came, they made their own bracelets and hit the streets leading about 40 popel to make decisions of faith in the Lord Jesus! Isn’t that amazing? I told them that next time they want to go to the streets, to let me know and I will help them with the soccer balls.

On another note, please pray for the church that we helped, they only have about 20 people but we believe that they will grow because so far, all the other churches we have helped in the past have grown not only in people but in a desire to share the word! Please also pray for the seed that was sown in the hearts of those that listened to us in that community.

Than you so much for your prayers and financial support!

Mission Trip Update, This stuff is exciting!

June 22, 2012 – 10:52 am

Blessings Everyone!

Our June Misison trip to Baja California was a success, so I hear!

Marcia and I had to stay home this time but Danielle Hollar and Alyssa Seed led the team along ith Kurt Hollar and Bob Venter andother evangelists to help a two year old church plant in El Zorrillo (30 minutes south of Ensenada), Baja California. Mexico. To God be the glory for sending additional leaders to help fill the gap when we can’t go. Please take time to rejoice with us in the results and read a praise report from the pastor we helped at the end of this email!

Presentations of the gospel shared: 127

New adult decisions of faith: 45

New Children Decisions of faith: 20

Adults Recomittments: 20

Chidlren Recomittment: 2

Already believers in Christ: 10

No decision of faith: 22

Isn’t that amazing? please pray for all of them so that those who made decisions of faith will grow in the knowledge of Christ and those who rejected will have their eyes open to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

On Monday evening after the evangelist had come back home, the church planter email me to thank me for having such a powerful ministry. He wrote to me that he was really excited because some of the people that had received Jesus were calling him already so that he could go and teach them more about the Bible, is that cool or what?

Just FYI, this was our 7th outreach of the year. Praise the Lord! we have 5 more to go: We are going to Guanajuato in July, Oceanside in August, Ensenada in September, Los Algodones in October and Mexicali in November!

As you know, the more soccer balls, bracelets, bibles and evangelism resources we give the more financial support we need. Please pray for God to send, and He will all the finances we need! May the Lord bless you abundanly!

FTK has a Chevy Silverado, an IPAD! only SUV to go! Libby Lake was a success!

May 29, 2012 – 9:40 am
Blessings Everyone! There is a popular saying that says, where God guides, God provides. A few months ago, I asked you to pray with me regarding three needs that FTK had: A 4 door Pickup truck, a 7-8 passanger SUV and an IPAD in order to record 5-10 minute devotionals for evangelists. Well, Guess what? you know what’s coming huh?
A couple of weeks ago, the Lord blessed us with the finances to buy one!!! Guess what we did with the money? We bought one!!! PTL!
Also a supporter of our ministry blessed us with an IPAD 2 and now we are ready to start recording those devotionals so that believers who want to share the gospel can be motivated weekly!
We are still praying for an SUV (Expedition, Tahoe or Sequoia) but we know that in God’s timing, we will have the best one available. Our next trip is on June 8-10 therefore we would like to have it then so that we don’t have to borrow one. Please pray and believe with us!
By the Way, our Saturday outreach at Libby lake was amazing in sharing the gospel.
