First day of evangelism in Mexico

June 28, 2008 – 6:23 am

Wow! 7 people to Christ in less than two hours with only two people doing it. Matt didn’t make yesterday since he was part of the movie New Song Church is filming. Chuy and I got here about 2:00 pm. went to eat and to the hotel. you will get to see some pictures of the Hotel. we got an amazing deal and its in Yuma. AZ which means that the bathrooms works, fully airconditioned and smells good too.

Chuy got to share the gospel for his very first time to 4 youngsters, out of which, one confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Although he got in trouble later for not bringing his birth certificate, he said to me that he was going do all in his power to come back since he had already got a taste of it!

some of the people already know us from the last time Matt and I were here and they were calling us to go and tell friends of theirs who they know didn’t know Jesus. It was amazing. One of the ladies that we got to lead to Christ spoke more English than Spanish and I had to give her my bilingual Bible. I loved that Bible but I really believe that this lady gave her heart to Christ. While I was sharing the gospel with the first lady, her sister was listening to it and she said to me I would like to hear about that too but I want to wait for my husband because He and I have been going to church we don’t know for sure if we are going to heaven or not. When her husband came to us after the soccer game, I got to lead them to Christ, but while I was doing that, a youngster came to hear what we were saying and guess what? you got it, he came to Christ too!!! halellujah! God is good.

As we were coming out of Mexico into the United States, a young girl came to su to sell us doughnuts and you gues right again, the driver, Jose Esparza, got to lead her to Christ, we gave her a Bible, a bracelet and a teddy bear for her daughter. pray for her and pray for all of thme who got to come to the savior.

We have a busy day ahead of us but God is with us. keep us in your prayers today!
